The water can’t really be that color, can it? It is… it really is. A land of stark contrast, colorful balances between the volcanic black rocks, the lush green rainforests, and the radiant blue water. The small summer shore break creates a refreshing pool of the mighty Pacific next to the smooth warm sand. There is an abundance of wooded trails with watery destinations surrounded by thick-vined woods. Maui truly is a place of wonder; paradise incarnate.
A short trip is nowhere near enough time to learn and take in all of the island’s treasures. It was an introduction of sorts. The commencement of a love affair between the serene and the adventurous all taking place on a small island chain in the middle of a vast ocean. These Hawaiian Islands are rich in history, culture, and wonder, all with many stories to tell. Maui is only the beginning; only time will tell what other gifts these islands hold.

A quaint farm nestled in Pauma Valley outside of San Diego, Calif. Solidarity Farms is a collective of owner operators that grow a variety of produce for local markets. With a strong community oriented operating model, through outreach programs, Solidarity Farms is the embodiment of the local appreciation that supports regional agriculture.
Masterfully Repurposed. The Flying Pig, masterminded by Roger "Roddy" Browning and his wife Aaron, is a testament to the local love of San Diego, California. All ingredients for their delectable seasonal menus are sourced locally. Even the rustic decorations are collected from the community at large. Fall 2017.

EATPhoenix is a Pop-Up collective of chefs that host dinner events at various Phoenix, Arizona restaurants. These images were captured from their October 2016 event at Shimogamo in Chandler, Arizona. Dishes featured from chefs : Christian Padilla (Executive Chef RioneXiii in Seattle, Washington) and Eric Stuff.
